When it comes to PCBA wave soldering parameter settings, people who don’t know may think that it is enough to control the temperature of the tin furnace and the height of the tin wave, but things are often not as simple as we think. In addition to controlling the temperature of the tin furnace and the height of the tin wave, there are also many parameter settings. So how to set PCBA wave soldering parameters? 1. Preheating temperature: Set according to the actual conditions of the preheating zone of the wave soldering machine. The surface temperature of the PCB is generally between 90 and 130°C. The upper limit is taken for the assembly of large plates, thick plates and SMD components.

 

 

2. Foaming air volume or flux spray pressure: it should be determined according to the condition of the flux contacting the bottom surface of the PCB, so that the flux can be evenly applied to the bottom surface of the PCB. It can also be observed from the through holes on the PCB surface. A small amount of flux should penetrate upward from the through holes to the pads on the top surface of the through holes, but it should be noted that the flux should not penetrate into the component body.

 

3. Soldering tin temperature: Because the temperature sensor is in the tin pot, the meter or liquid crystal display temperature is about 5-10℃ higher than the actual temperature of the wave peak.

 

4. Measure the height of the wave crest: adjust the height of the wave crest to exceed the bottom surface of the PCB, at 1/2 to 2/3 of the thickness of the PCB.

 

5. Conveyor belt speed: set according to different wave soldering machines and PCB to be soldered, generally 0.8~1.92m/min.
