First, you must wear an electrostatic bracelet to avoid damage to the electronic components IC caused by static electricity generated by the human body. At the same time, you should wear gloves or finger cots, and do not directly touch the machine board and the golden fingers of the components with your bare hands.

Second, take the PCB correctly. Hold the edge of the PCB and try not to touch the components on the board. When welding, the welding temperature, welding angle, and welding sequence must be correct, and the welding time must be appropriate.

Third, try to use low-temperature soldering. High-temperature soldering will accelerate the oxidation of the soldering iron tip, thereby reducing the life of the soldering iron tip.

Fourth, do not apply too much pressure when soldering, otherwise the tip of the soldering iron will be damaged and deformed. Different soldering iron tips can be selected according to the size of the solder joints, so that the soldering iron tips can better conduct heat transfer.

Fifth, the amount of tin and flux should be appropriate during soldering. Too much solder is easy to cause continuous tin or cover welding defects. Too little solder not only has low mechanical strength, but also because the surface oxide layer gradually deepens over time, it is easy to cause solder joint failure. Too much flux will pollute and corrode PCBA, and may cause electrical defects such as leakage. Too little flux will not work.

Sixth, do not knock or shake the tip of the soldering iron when soldering, which will cause damage to the heating core (shorten the service life of the heating core) and splashing of tin beads (if the tin beads splash on the PCBA, it may form a short circuit and cause poor electrical performance).

Seventh, self-check is required after welding. Generally, the main inspections are: ①whether there is solder leakage and tin connection; ②whether the solder joints are smooth, full and shiny; ③whether the solder joints are cracked or sharp; ④whether the pads fall off; ⑤whether there is flux around the solder joints Residues and so on.

In addition, you need to pay attention to some safety matters when welding, wear a mask, and be equipped with exhaust equipment such as an exhaust fan to keep the welding station ventilated.
